The Emerald House is home to the Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum and Cultural Center, located in East Falmouth, Massachusetts.

A historic farmstead representative of Falmouth’s rich immigrant history. The Museum and Cultural Center act as stewards to the property and preserve and share this legacy.

ADMISSION

Admission to the Museum is free to the general public until December, 2023. Members enjoy the best of the Museum, annual membership is $30 per year individual; $50 family & includes personal tour by Curator !

As a member, you will be supporting Massachusetts' only CV Museum and Cultural Center, gain access to thousands of photos, artifacts and articles about Kabuverdianos of the diaspora and learn of upcoming events & classes. Note: Kriolu classes are coming soon! Let us know if you'd like to participate via Zoom or in person in the Cultural Center in East Falmouth.

Plus, you'll play a key role in supporting the work of the Museum and Cultural Center by connecting the past to the present for students, families and visitors from all over the world. Learn about our Sister School Program with partners Falmouth Public Schools, BSU Pires Institute and ELL CV in Praia, Santiago, CVI.

Thank you to Superintendent Lori Duerr, Assistant Superintendent Sonia Tellier, DEI Officer Henry St. Julien for the warm welcome last year and return invitation this year. We will display our newest exhibit and production titled: Cape Verdeans in the Military.

 Expand Massachusetts Voices program and the staff at Falmouth Community TV as well as all those Veterans who agreed to be interviewed. We are grateful for your service to this country! CD's will be available to our members soon.

Visit the Museum during our open hours to view the newest exhibit, a touch screen documentary on the oceans and sustainability through a grant written by Matt Charette of WHOI/Sea Grant, their collaboration with Bridgewater State University and Biosphera.
