This room and museum opened my eyes and warmed  my heart. My first thought of this room was of my own Nana's Kitchen. To have a place history is shared and preserved for all to see and learn from is invaluable. I am thrilled to come back and learn more

My husband is 95 and thoroughly enjoyed seeing WWII memorabilia and I loved learning about the Black history in this area.

This was an amazing experience. It  gave me goosebumps to see all the artifacts of our people.  I am so proud of you Papa, this is a phenominal legacy to leave your grandkids and so many generations to come.

Enjoyed visiting the Emerald House. Remembered the house when my 2nd cousin and her family lived here!

As I entered the Emerald House Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum, I got chills. My late mother, Evangeline Freeman/Fermino, picked strawberries at this farm with her family in the '30's!

I am delighted to see this wonderful repository of our Cape Verdean history.

Emotional, love and connection. It's amazing to see yourself in your ancestors even though cultural disconnect has ensued.
